Who is Low Limit?
1/2 of the Bay Area’s very own Lazer Sword. I can’t really explain their sound, the link to the Blap to the Future Megamix and the Sweatpants Money Mixtape should give you a good idea. Future bass + hip hop insanity. The crew and I are bringing him to town on July 23rd to the Onyx Room for SUBversive SD, along with another one of our favorite producers/deejays, Salva (more on him later).

Imagine if Godzilla and King Kong settled their differences, bought a pair of midi controllers and a license to Ableton Live 8, and proceeded to take over the world. Not via firebreathing or brute strength, but bone-crushing musicality.
It’s sad to know that there aren’t many venues to experience this kind of music in my hometown of San Diego, unless I haven’t searched deep enough. Until then, I’ll continue to frequent the phenomenon that is Low End Theory, no matter how tiring it is.
